Fullmetal Alchemist (2009-2010) 4-Disc Set Blu-ray – Episodes 34-64

Fullmetal Alchemist tells the story of Edward and Alphonse Elric, brothers who break the fundamental law of alchemy in an attempt to resurrect their mother. The attempt costs Edward an arm and a leg and leaves Alphonse as a disembodied soul bound to a suit of armor. To undo the damage, the brothers set out in search of the Philosopher’s Stone, a journey that draws them into the political and military machinery of the nation of Amestris.

What begins as a quest for a single artifact becomes a sprawling story about corruption, genocide, and the price of progress. Edward and Alphonse encounter state alchemists, homunculi, and ordinary people caught between powerful forces, and the series uses these encounters to explore themes of grief, responsibility, and what it means to be human. Its cast is large and carefully drawn, and its antagonists rank among the most memorable in the medium.

Fullmetal Alchemist is a cornerstone of anime for a reason: it balances action, philosophy, and heartfelt character work across its run, and it rewards rewatching. Collectors value it as both an introduction to the medium and a series that holds up under close attention.
