The Rookie: Seasons 1-7 (2018-2025) 7-Disc Set Blu-ray

The Rookie follows John Nolan, a man who moves to Los Angeles and joins the police force at an age when most officers are well into their careers. Created by Alexi Hawley, the series pairs weekly cases with the ongoing story of a newcomer proving himself to colleagues who doubt him.

Nathan Fillion brings warmth and humour to the lead role, and the show surrounds him with a cast of training officers, detectives and fellow rookies whose lives intersect on and off duty. The series balances action and investigation with the everyday realities of the job, and it has developed its characters over a long run rather than resetting them each week.

Fans of procedural crime drama appreciate The Rookie for its likeable cast and steady storytelling, and collectors value the chance to follow the full arc of Nolan’s career. The complete seasons gathered together make it easy to watch the show’s development from rookie to seasoned officer.
