The Ranch centres on Colt Bennett, a former professional football player who returns to his family’s Colorado ranch after his career and personal life take a turn. He finds himself working alongside his father Beau and his brother Rooster, navigating old tensions and new responsibilities.
The series uses a traditional multi-camera sitcom format but grounds its humour in the rhythms of ranch life, with a cast that includes Sam Elliott, Debra Winger and Elisha Cuthbert. Over its seasons the show balances comedy with more serious storylines about family loyalty, financial pressure and the challenges of holding onto a way of life.
Viewers who enjoy character-driven sitcoms with a strong sense of place appreciate The Ranch for its easy-going tone and its ensemble. Collecting the seasons together makes it simple to follow the Bennett family’s story from beginning to end.
