30 Monedas: Season 1 (2020) 3-Disc Set Blu-ray

30 Monedas, known in English as 30 Coins, is a Spanish supernatural horror series created by director Álex de la Iglesia. The first season introduces Father Vergara, a priest with a complicated history, who arrives in a remote Spanish town and finds himself at the center of a conspiracy involving one of the thirty pieces of silver associated with Judas Iscariot.

Vergara is joined by the town’s mayor, Paco, and the veterinarian Elena, as strange events and malevolent forces converge on their community. The series mixes religious horror with mystery and character drama, using the coins as a thread that connects local incidents to a much larger struggle between good and evil. De la Iglesia’s direction gives the show a distinctive, atmospheric look.

Fans of European genre television and supernatural horror appreciate 30 Monedas for its ambition and its willingness to blend folklore, theology, and suspense. The first season establishes the world and its central conflict, making it a strong entry point for viewers exploring Spanish-language horror series.
