Nikita: Seasons 1-4 (2010-2013) 4-Disc Set Blu-ray

Nikita is an action thriller series created by Craig Silverstein for The CW, based on the characters from Luc Besson’s film La Femme Nikita. It follows a highly trained operative who escapes the covert agency known as Division and devotes herself to exposing and dismantling it from the outside.

Maggie Q leads the cast as Nikita, a role that made her a central figure in the series, with Shane West as her former handler and would-be mentor, Lyndsy Fonseca as a recruit pulled into the same world, and Aaron Stanford as the unpredictable Birkhoff. Across four seasons, the show moves between individual missions and a larger arc about manipulation, loyalty, and the cost of being shaped into a weapon. The action is grounded in hand-to-hand combat and infiltration rather than spectacle, and the writing keeps shifting alliances at the centre of the drama.

The complete series is popular with collectors of serialised spy fiction because it tells a finished story with a clear beginning and end. Its combination of a charismatic lead, ongoing conspiracies, and steady escalation makes it a rewarding set to revisit from start to finish.
