Slow Horses: Season 5 (2025) 2-Disc Set Blu-ray

Slow Horses is the acclaimed British spy drama adapted from Mick Herron’s Slough House novels, following a group of MI5 agents who have been sidelined after professional failures. Rather than leaving the service, they are reassigned to a neglected London office overseen by the brilliant but abrasive Jackson Lamb, a man whose methods and manners are as unconventional as his instincts are reliable.

Season 5 continues the series’ signature blend of espionage, dark humour and character-driven storytelling, placing the Slough House team at the centre of a new threat that tests their loyalties and their resourcefulness. Gary Oldman anchors a strong ensemble cast whose misfit characters are drawn with genuine warmth, and the show’s intricate plotting has earned consistent praise from critics and viewers alike.

For collectors of British television and spy thrillers, Slow Horses has become a standout title thanks to its writing, performances and refusal to romanticise the intelligence world. The series appeals to fans of John le Carré adaptations and modern streaming drama, and this season makes a natural addition to any serious TV collection.
