Raising Hope: Seasons 1-4 (2010-2014) 4-Disc Set Blu-ray

Raising Hope is an American sitcom created by Greg Garcia that premiered in 2010. It centers on Jimmy Chance, a well-meaning young man whose life changes overnight when he gains custody of his infant daughter, Hope, and must raise her alongside his unpredictable family.

The series derives much of its humor from the Chance household: Jimmy’s no-nonsense mother Virginia, his dim but loyal father Burt, his great-grandmother Maw Maw, and the memory of Hope’s troubled mother. Martha Plimpton and Garret Dillahunt deliver standout performances, while Cloris Leachman’s comedic timing adds an unpredictable spark. Beneath the jokes, the show celebrates resilience, family loyalty, and the messy realities of parenting.

Fans of Garcia’s earlier work and of heartfelt sitcoms appreciate Raising Hope for its blend of slapstick and sincerity. The complete series offers a satisfying arc, with the characters growing in ways that reward consistent viewing and make the set a welcome addition to any comedy collection.
