C.B. Strike: Seasons 1-6 (2017-2024) 3-Disc Set Blu-ray

C.B. Strike brings the detective novels of Robert Galbraith to the screen, following private investigator Cormoran Strike and his business partner Robin Ellacott through a succession of complex cases. From the first season onward, the series establishes a London that feels lived-in and morally complicated, where clients arrive with secrets and the truth rarely arrives cleanly. Each season adapts a distinct investigation while the relationship between the two leads quietly becomes the show’s emotional spine.

Tom Burke embodies Strike as a man carrying physical and personal scars, a former military investigator whose instincts are matched by his stubbornness. Holliday Grainger’s Robin grows from an assistant into a fully capable investigator, and the dynamic between them gives the series its tension and warmth. The writing balances procedural detail with character study, drawing on a strong roster of guest performers across the seasons and keeping the mysteries grounded in recognisable human failings.

For fans of British crime drama and of the source novels, this collection gathers the complete run in one place, making it easy to follow the partnership from its uncertain beginnings through its most demanding cases. It is a natural fit alongside other BBC detective series and a strong choice for viewers who prefer character-driven mysteries over pure puzzle-solving.
